EquusMoonPriestess and Handmaiden of Water
I guess I started on this path when I was 15 or so, but not doing things I learned from books. I was doing small rituals for myself and setting up small altars. I definitely stopped believing in God by that time and felt there was something bigger and better out there. Then, in my late 20s, I began working with stones. I used them in dog necklaces (that's a whole other story), using the stones for whatever the dog needed - healing, courage, luck, etc. I also just collected stones b/c I loved them and their energy. It wasn't until my early 30s that I began reading books and learning about Witchcraft in earnest. I was a Solitary Eclectic at first, then was pulled toward a Celtic path. I joined one coven briefly, then found Jade Wolf and it called to me (the Priestess at the time, Keirawen/Jamie and I had actually met earlier). I've been a member since 2004 and cannot see myself w/o JWC. JWC brings such love and strength to me. Spiritually, Witchcraft just speaks to me. It makes sense and it fulfills me. I've been out of the broom closet since 2003. Well, partially. I came out to my parents, who were a little skeptical at first when I talked about setting up an altar and using the tools of the trade. My mother detests organized religion, but when she saw what I was doing on a daily basis, her fears were allayed. I also came out to my boyfriend at the same time. I'm pretty sure he thought I was nuts. (I am a little nuts, but in a good way. ;) ) I'm not really out to some of my relatives, though I think they have suspicions.

My faith never felt complete without both Witchcraft, folklore, and the old Gods, so I grew up peppering them into my path at a young age. I began studying tarot at 15 and bought my first book of candle magic at 17. At 20, my husband and I bought our first computer and Wicca was the first thing that I searched. Immediately, I felt like I had found my home. I've since studied Eastern paths, Satanism, Druidism, Hellenism, Strega, British Traditionalist in addition to Wicca. I've also studied several magical paths including Vodun, Chaos, Technomagic, kitchen, green, traditional, ceremonial, and pop culture. Jamie and I started Jade Wolf in 2005 to be a place where Witches could learn from each other, grow, and celebrate as a community. I've been Priestess since 2010 and will be retiring soon.

I began my current path about 5 years ago. I follow more of an Eclectic path with heavy Shamanic and Green Witchcraft elements (hodgepodge sums it up nicely). My spiritual journey has really completed me. I have been interested in paganism and magic since I was very young and since discovering my path I also discovered more of myself. I contribute to the Pagan community by helping to educate others who do not understand our way of life. From family to friends and strangers I use education to help take the long-standing fear of Pagans and Witchcraft away. I am only half out of the broom closet so far.

I guess you can say I’ve always been drawn to paganism. I spent many years exploring other faiths, but always came back here. So, I’ve been practicing steadily for about a year now. I’ve always had a connection to the ancient Egyptian path. So, on my own that is my path. I applied to Jade Wolf Coven in November 2016. This is the first coven I’ve been a part of and the energy with them has been amazing. I am learning so much. As far as being in or out of the “broom closet,” I’m in between. My friends all know and I have told them directly that this is my path. But I have not actually come out to my family. I do not hide anything from them and do tend to leave some of my books out for them to see, but haven’t actually said to them this is what I choose.

I have been a spiritual being all my life, always seeing things differently than other people. I started to hone in on these thing in my teens when I was finally found a path that spoke to me in a way that I never felt or know was possible. I started studying and practicing witchcraft on and off through the years as a solitary witch, until I found Jade Wolf Coven 4 years ago. Even though it was short lived due to moving to North Carolina. Now I am back and I still have a great relationship this coven. I am happy to call them family.
